Description

Balance, soothing with a delicate sweetness
Puerh Mini Cake is an aged (2008), high grade of ripe puerh tea.
It hails from the Nannuoshan region in China
(southwestern Yunnan province) made from the ancient tea trees with the Shu Cha or "cooked" method of manufacture, whereby the pu-erh undergoes an additional oxidation step that speeds-up the aging process and improves in taste over time.
The infusion, red bright like amber,
is rich and sweet, with mineral earthiness.  It shows the characteristic musty
aroma but smooth finish.

Tuochas (mini cake) are very convenient for travel because the tea leaves are compressed into a small birds' nest shape individually wrapped in paper, meaning you can easily fit them in your pocket and you will not crush the leaves!

 Ingredients: Black Tea

Heat the water 100°C, use 2 g per 150 ml and brew for 30 seconds. First infusion rinses and wakes up the tea leaves and is then discarded. Brew for 10/20 seconds for the following infusions. Multiple infusions

Our teas are packed in eco-friendly, recyclable, resealable pouches

Black Tea (China Red): Premium from China

More than just tea in a bag! Black tea is the most popular type of tea in western countries. Maybe because it has a longer storage life than green, white or oolong tea, so was better suited for the long transport time during the early days of European / Asian trade.

To produce black tea, the leaves undergo more oxidation when compared to green, white, oolong teas. This not only results in darker tea leaves, but also a stronger and more intense taste.

The most popular method of serving Black Tea in the West is adding milk or sugar to reduce the natural astringency and bitterness of Black Tea, but In China and other parts of Asia, it is usually served straight.

Among Black Tea we can count outstanding and rare varieties. The premium tea ages well and improves over time. The best whole leaf Black Teas are made by hand, in contrast to the commercial CTC (Crush-Tear-Curl) of tea-bags.

Excellent!

These mini pu euh cakes make a deliciously smooth, earthy cup of tea which is one of the best I have had in a long time. I find half a cake in 150 ml of water provides me with just the right strength of infusion I like for 4 cups throughout the day.
